Holiday property photographer in the Lake District.

Are you looking to attract more visitors to your holiday accommodation? Professional photography is something always recommended by marketing agencies. As a holiday accommodation photographer based in the Lake District, I would say that wouldn’t I? It really does make a difference. Your potential customers want to get a feel for your unique holiday space. Whether you manage a cozy cabin in the woods, a shepherd’s hut at the bottom of your garden or a unique airbnb presenting your property in the best light is key to standing out in a crowded market.

Attracting guests begins with visually appealing photographs that showcase the unique features and ambiance of your accommodation. From the moment prospective guests land on your website or listing platform, they should be captivated by stand out images of your property, that create a picture of the experience that they want to enjoy.

As a professional photographer who photographs lots of holiday accommodation in the Lake District, I see all types of amazing designs in guest accommodation. In Cumbria the hospitality industry is competitive, so stunning photography is essential for showcasing your holiday accommodation and attracting potential guests. High-quality images not only provide a glimpse into the unique experience your property offers but also play a crucial role in building trust and driving bookings.

Before picking up my camera, I’ll spend some time looking into the location and key features to understand the feel of your holiday accommodation. What makes it special? Is it the cozy interior, breathtaking views, or charming outdoor spaces? Identify the unique selling points of your property and focus on capturing them in your photographs. This might involve a recce or just an online search to work out what to expect when I arrive. I’ll also make the booking around the weather, which can prove quite a challenge in the North of England. The best time to do photography is normally between Spring and Autumn. We photographers are drawn to early or late light, which can create more atmospheric images, which in turn creates the desire to stay at your unique accommodation.

Prior to photographing the space, I ask the client to declutter and tidy up to create a clean and inviting space. Remove personal items, excess furniture, and distracting clutter that could detract from the overall appeal of the accommodation. I also ask for them to add some styling elements such as flowers, books, drinks, food, etc. Small touches that help to invite the customer into the space and create a visual of how their stay could be.

Guests want to see how much attention to detail you have made. The log burner, cooking facilities, bed linen and soft furnishings are all part of the experience. My job is to record atmospheric details of all that hard work to provide the holiday accommodation owner with a library of images that can be used for their website, landing platform and social media. They’ll also want to see what type of environment they’ll be staying in, is it peaceful, what are the views like, what access do they have to local points of interest. All of this is content that I capture to create a bigger picture for the customer.

Being based in the Lake District, I am able to cover the entire Cumbria area with ease and able to work around weather and booking schedules. We also run our own one bedroom holiday let from home so I have a good understanding of the requirements of other holiday accommodation owners.

As a family who enjoy holiday stays in the UK, I just enjoy seeing the creativity that many business owners put into their unique holiday accommodation. The market is ever evolving to react to consumer demands and this is reflected in the range of stunning holiday lets around the UK.
