Morning hike to Raise.

An early morning start from Dowthwaite Head up to Raise. Taking in Birkett Fell and Stybarrow Dodd, I had only Skylarks for company as I watched the sunrise over Ullswater. Spring is a great time to be out on the fells before the temperatures get too high and early morning for that lovely light and mist as the overnight mist gets burnt off by the sun. Great views over Glencoyne Bay and Helvellyn and most of the Lake District once I had reached the summit of Raise. Best time of the day to get out onto the fells.
