Liverpool City Centre.

My work tends to be more people focused but I have a great passion for landscape and observational photography. This shoot was for an interior design client, Joanna Murray, who buys some of my landscape work and she wanted a series from Liverpool City Centre. The timing was towards the end of the 2021 lockdown period, so the streets were busy, but with people walking and not driving. The feel was very relaxed, for a late Winter day the weather was warm and there was a great vibe to the city. The people of Liverpool are blessed to be located on the Mersey and the docks were a focal point for all different walks of life from young families to skateboarders.

As an advertising photographer I am used to a specific brief but I always relish the jobs were I’m given a degree of freedom to document life as I see it. It seems that my work is taking more of a documentary feel and I am totally embracing this.
